About Me
I am a doctoral student at the University of Jyväskylä. Before joining the Software Engineering Doctoral Pilot Program, I spent around 7 years working in the software industry as a software engineer. I gained my MSc degree from Imperial College London, UK, in 2017, where my main focus was on signal processing and communications. I got my BSc degree from Aalto University, Finland, with one year of exchange studies at the Central China Normal University, China.
Since finishing my MSc I have always wanted to complete PhD studies, but no suitable topic came to my mind. A few years in the industry gave me valuable experience, and now I feel much better equipped to develop a meaningful PhD thesis after gaining real-world insights.

About My Research
The initial idea of my research is microservice ownership and issues that come with it. As microservice based systems grow larger (hundreds or even thousands of services), they become very complex and clear lines of ownership are easily lost. The goal of the research is to understand what ownership is and how to best implement it in microservice context.
Please see my poster for the initial research plan. N.B. this poster probably becomes very outdated as time goes on, but it provides background from where the research started.
