Welcome to the Oulanka Research Station (https://www.oulu.fi/en/research/research-infrastructures/oulanka-research-station) for the first all-Finland software engineering and related sciences’ writing retreat on September 22-29, 2025.
As a well-evaluated and tested method in the M3S research unit at the University of Oulu, the writing retreat will allow you to effectively progress a paper or grant application in an exclusive environment.
Just you and your laptop, and the others with the same goal of deep concentration. In addition, we will have collaborative feedback and networking opportunities for all levels of research careers.
The writing retreat is open for doctoral researchers, postdocs, and professors – everyone who will commit to the week of hard work. The FAST pilot researchers are especially encouraged to participate.

The registration fees is 500€. You can also reserve bus transportation from Oulu to Oulanka for 100€.
